Can we please talk about this off the shoulder trend. I am absolutely in love. As a person with broad shoulders I prefer to stay away from strapless tops or dresses or anything at all that would emphasise how my shoulders seem a little too broad for my body. This trend has been around for a while and is definitely having a moment right now, I have just been so obsessed with it from a distance that I decided that I don't care. I love it, I want to wear it. Once I actually tried it out and just said I love it, I'm wearing it, I realised that my insecurities are really nothing. It's one of my favourite styles now. Everyone has these little insecurities and it's hard to let go but once in a while you just have to go for it and realise that you're being crazy because nobody else sees it but you, and even if they do, does it really matter? NO.

To me this blouse seems funky yet classic. The baby blue met with the unusual uneven hem gives this blouse a little "je ne sais quoi". I'm late on the pastel trend and have only recently started venturing out of my typical navy, black and whites but you know what they say, better late than never.
I wore this blouse to school that day with a pair of dark wash, straight cut jeans and some cute tortoise shell flats from H&M. It was cute and comfortable, and I can tell that I will be getting a lot more wear out of this top. When I first saw this dress in Zara I thought I had to have it, but then again don't all shopaholics say that about every other dress? I love pretty much anything with a cut out (or lace), it's one of my many weaknesses.
I had packed this dress with me to Korea, where these pictures were taken and I had discovered that this dress was non-crease. Clothes made out of that non-crease material is a huge plus for me as it's easy to wear when travelling. The bow detailing on the back was what initially caught my eye. I then decided to add a bit of colour with this skinny bright orange belt. This is one of those dresses that makes you look like you've put in more thought and effort into your outfit when all you've really done is throw on a dress. |
