I have to say that I'm not particularly adventurous. I don't go paragliding or jet skiing or any of those things but I was looking for something fun and new to do with my dad when I came across ATV riding. We decided that it would be something different and new to experience together so we made our way to Kampung Kemensah and gave it a go. We went with 'atv adventure park' and it cost us about RM100 each. We rode automatic ATVs, since we were beginners we had a short introductory course which took about a half hour before our guide took us to a beginners ATV trail that led straight to a waterfall.
It was pretty intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it was actually not too difficult. There were a few moments where it got a little tricky but not to worry, our guide was there to help us out.
This was pretty much one of the best experiences I've ever had. Let me tell you, riding an ATV totally makes you feel like Indiana Jones. What I didn't expect was how sore my arms were after the ride, the bike is heavy, maneuvering it was not as effortless as I had naively thought (or maybe it's just because I have zero arm strength), but nonetheless coupled with the tenseness you feel when riding one of these for the first times, it definitely felt like a workout to me.
If anyone is considering ATV riding, I would definitely recommend it. It's a fun activity that'll bring you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to try more things. I would definitely go back.
