ATV Riding

I have to say that I'm not particularly adventurous. I don't go paragliding or jet skiing or any of those things but I was looking for something fun and new to do with my dad when I came across ATV riding. We decided that it would be something different and new to experience together so we made our way to Kampung Kemensah and gave it a go. We went with 'atv adventure park' and it cost us about RM100 each. We rode automatic ATVs, since we were beginners we had a short introductory course which took about a half hour before our guide took us to a beginners ATV trail that led straight to a waterfall.

It was pretty intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it was actually not too difficult. There were a few moments where it got a little tricky but not to worry, our guide was there to help us out.

This was pretty much one of the best experiences I've ever had. Let me tell you, riding an ATV totally makes you feel like Indiana Jones. What I didn't expect was how sore my arms were after the ride, the bike is heavy, maneuvering it was not as effortless as I had naively thought (or maybe it's just because I have zero arm strength), but nonetheless coupled with the tenseness you feel when riding one of these for the first times, it definitely felt like a workout to me.

If anyone is considering ATV riding, I would definitely recommend it. It's a fun activity that'll bring you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to try more things. I would definitely go back.

It's a Pie Thing

I'm sure if you like anywhere in or around the Kuala Lumpur area you would have heard of "A Pie Thing". It's a trendy little store with decadent dessert pies. They've already become instagram famous around Malaysia but I thought they were worth another mention. They are situated in one of the most frustrating places ever, the dreaded Damansara Uptown, if you've ever been there, you'd know that it is any drivers nightmare, you can pretty much forget about parking. But maybe, for my fellow foodies it'll be worth the struggle.

Pasta!

My mum and I often visit Milan during the summer and one of my favourite places to go is La Rinascente. It isn't a restaurant but a high end department store, and while that's what others rave about when going to La Rinascente, you should know it's all about the food for me! On the top floor there is a little gourmet supermarket surrounded by various restaurants and cafés. This picture was of my absolutely mouthwatering langoustine and rigatoni pasta (I think?). one thing that should be noted is that the Italians like their pasta a little hard, which the rest of the world may see as undercooked but that's the way they eat it there. The food here is one of my favourites and the little section is beautifully decorated with painted plates that gives it a cool, unique feel. Unfortunately I was too excited about my food to take any photos of the place itself, but if you're in the area you should definitely give this place a look.
