Last weekend my family and I took a short trip to Thailand, we visited an island called Koh Samui. It's a nice holiday place with beautiful clean beaches. I really enjoyed my time there, just hanging out with some family friends and relaxing by the pool. The trip was too short for us to be able to spend some time roaming the town but lazing around was fine by me. It was a good break from reality, even if only for a weekend. Maybe next time we'll spend a little bit more time there.
I have developed a new found love for pastel blue but hadn't found too many things in that colour that I liked. In my recent trip to Singapore I got lucky at the sales. I found this faux leather and snakeskin cross body bag at Accessorize for about SGD 30. The heels are from New Look for SGD 29.90. This pastel blue is quickly becoming my new favourite colour.
Over the Hari Raya break my family and I flew down to Singapore and with a little help from Google we found a french restaurant called Saveur on Purvis Street. It was fancy french food in a casual setting. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. The best dish was the salmon confit, without a doubt.
It was a good find but luckily the food blogs had warned us that there's almost always a waiting list. We then tried to make a reservation and it turned out they don't take reservations. So we showed up at the restaurant just as it opened for dinner. It opened at 6pm, we were seated at 6.01pm and we weren't the first people there! The restaurant was already half full and by 6.30 they were bustling. We were also told that the shop lot next door belonged to them as well and boy do they need the extra space! |
